Seriously, JOAN WATSON? Are you kidding me? I just read an article that said that it would take place in NYC after Sherlock gets out of rehab and “Joan” would have lost their license because a patient died instead of being an army doctor.

It’s not that I have a problem with CBS trying to do a modern-day Sherlock Holmes, ok maybe I do just a little, what bothers me is that BBC is already doing a fantastic job with their series. I don’t know. I’m just worried that people will only focus on this one and not the one that’s been on for 2 years now and is incredibly awesome. And we all know why they changed John to Joan… Ugh America, why do you have to mess with an already good thing?

It bothers me a little bit, because this is America and they’re totally going to play up the romantic angle when they don’t need to. I’m more angry that CBS is doing this as a deliberate “fuck you” to Moffat and the rest of the Sherlock team. CBS came to Moffat and asked him to do an American version, which reeks of American “superiority”, and when Moffat and crew said, “Um…no, fuck you we’re doing just fine” CBS went ahead and decided to make it anyway.

And THAT’S why I already hate the CBS version of Sherlock. Otherwise, I would have fucking loved Lucy Liu as Watson.

^ Yes. While Lucy Liu is one of my favorite actresses, I am kinda disappointed in Hollywood. It is possible for an American version of a British show to be just as amazing as the original (The Office), but at least they had the dignity to start the show after the original finished.

The main problem I have with this, along with all those previously stated is the whole fem!crossover. As much as I ship JohnxSherlock, I don’t want it shoved in my face, especially if it’s just to see another heterosexual cast making out.
